Karpagam University, Coimbatore has been established in the year 1989, had its corpus from the roots of Karpagam Industries. 10% of the net profits of the Industrial groups were contributed towards the corpus. With the available corpus, Karpagam Arts and Science College was established in September 1995. Its sole aim was to impart instruction to the students in the latest theories and technologies. The college saw qualitative and quantitative expansion in the ensuing years. Started with strength of 47 students the college grew to the strength of 2500 students. During these 14 years the college had grown from the strength to strength.
